Kristen's Trilogy of Knots
The 34th Street Platform for the A Train has been very kind to us here at Tattoosday, even more so this summer than in years' past.
Take Kristen, for example. She generously offered up this small portion of her corporeal canvas:
Estimating that she is at least a quarter covered by ink, this "trilogy of knots" was the artist's response to Kristen's request to attach the cobwebs on her elbow to the end of her wrist.
The artist, identified only as "Batman" near Canal and Broadway, was also asked to incorporate a Celtic pattern, as well.
The final result was to Kristen's liking and we here at Tattoosday thank her for sharing the tattoo with all of our readers!

Happy Bloggiversary to Me!
Three years ago today, Tattoosday was born.
On July 31, 2007, I put up a post on BillyBlog, featuring a tattoo on a co-worker named Sephora.
The idea was to post a weekly tattoo on Tuesday, and use this is a vehicle to expand my horizons a bit; meet interesting people and learn about tattoos.
There was one problem. I enjoyed it too much. There weren't enough Tuesdays in the week. I was impatient and wanted to post right away, not wait until Tuesday. And so, as Kurt Vonnegut would say, it goes....
So a month later I threw the previous months post up on the stand-alone blog, Tattoosday. And BillyBlog faded.
It's still there, but Tattoosday is my passion and I couldn't have even imagined, back in 2007, how easy it would become for me to talk to strangers about their ink.
The once-a-week project produced forty-five separate interactions in July, we have a 30-day backlog of material, and this past week we registered our 650,000th hit. Not too shabby.
Go see the original post here to see how far we've come.
And a hearty thanks to all our contributors, all our fans, and all the tattooists out there creating wonderful, interesting, portable art. Without all of you, Tattoosday would have been a blip of an idea, and nothing more.

Transformers 3, lucha y explosiones
Nick Remembers Billy, I Remember Siki
My first tattoo was modified from a piece of flash at Body Art Studios by an artist who goes by the moniker "Siki". Shortly thereafter, Siki left the shop and went on his way.
My friend Pete knows who he is but, until recently, I hadn't met anyone with ink from Siki, other than myself.
Then, I met Nick on the R train one day after work and, while discussing his many tattoos (he "lost count after 45," they've all connected) , I heard him talking about Siki.
So today's tattoo is by Siki and was, like my lynx, modified from an old piece of flash. Although he adapted it a lot more fully and developed a more unique tattoo.
Siki and Nick had a mutual friend named Billy, who Nick would often go with to get tattooed. When he passed away, they added Billy's name to the bottom of the tattoo as a tribute to their departed friend.
Thanks to Nick for sharing his tattoo with us here on Tattoosday!

Tattoo Me Now Review
If you’ve been wanting more information on Tattoo Me Now then you’ve definitely come to the right place! I’m going to talk you through exactly what this product is all about and whether it is worth joining? Finding the best tattoo design for yourself requires a considerable amount of effort, and I have personally had experiences where I regretted choosing my design because it was not really not I wanted. So what is the website Tattoo Me Now all about, and can you really find great tattoos inside? You’ll know very soon!
What is Tattoo Me Now?
Tattoo Me Now is a great resource for every tattoo enthusiast. They provide you not only unique designs but also a community where you can get advice, share photos and videos, and a lot more, both before and after getting inked
Where Can You Find The Best Tattoo Designs?
There are many free tattoo sources all over the internet, but if you are really passionate about them, I can tell you that you will most probably not find what you are looking for with free sites. Most of the designs with free sources are not unique and are all over the place already. I have discovered that in the world of tattoo designs, you really get what you pay for.
With the TattooMeNow membership, you will enjoy the following:
The Design Gallery
You can find your favorite design within this gallery with over 3,523 unique designs. There are 40 categories for you to choose from. Some of the popular categories include Tribal Tattoos and Butterfly Tattoos. You may spend days on seeking for a suitable design.
To make it convenient, they allow you to bookmark the designs which you may want to use later, so that you need not re-start the search from the beginning. Once you reach an idea, simply print out the design and take it to your tattoo artist. The process is easy and quick.
The Members Gallery
This active and helpful community is one of the main values of the whole membership program. You will see other members uploading different pictures. It is a great place to find advice and insights. The hundreds of tattoo pictures are placed neatly into different categories. You can comment on or give ratings to a particular tattoo picture. If you like, you can ink the 5-star tattoo on your skin.
The Studio Directory
Tattoo Me Now offer you a list of 10,000 tattoo parlors in over 38 countries. Other than simply helping you to find a local tattoo parlor, you can also see ratings and reviews on a particular tattoo studio as well. The reviews by other members are trustworthy and valuable. You can find the professional ones and avoid the bad ones easily. Of course, you are welcome to share your opinion so as to assist other members to make the best decision.
The Discussion Forum
It is another main value of Tattoo Me Now. Whenever you have a question about tattooing, just ask the question in the discussion forum. You will get answers in a very short time. It is also a great area to meet new people. You can discuss everything about tattoo with more than 20,000 tattoo enthusiasts like you.
The Video Vault
Finding a tattoo design could sometimes be boring. That is why Tattoo Me Now offer their members an area to share videos, showing their own tattoos. Besides, you will find some professional and educational videos, showing you how a tattoo artist does a tattoo job and how to remove a tattoo.
Media Library
Some members would call this section a bonus. This will give you more information about tattooing. A list of 15 eBooks is offered, such as “How to Tattoo in 12 Easy Steps”, “You and Your Tattoo”, “Infection Prevention”, “Getting Inked”, and “Xtasys Tattoo Designs eBook.” Other than that, you can find eBooks about health and fitness as well.
The cost to join Tattoo Me Now is reasonable. You will have the below options.
* 1 Year – $27
* Lifetime – $37
No matter which one you choose, I would say it is worth spending the additional $10, considering the resource and communication with other tattoo enthusiasts which you will be happy with. Also, a 60 day 100% money back guarantee is offered. It is zero-risk.

Jessica's Feather for her Mother
I met Jessica on the express platform at 34th Street earlier this month.
She shared this gorgeous peacock feather tattooed on the upper right section of her back:
The piece is an homage to her mother, who loves everything peacock, and has countless items, like bracelets and other jewelery, that emulate the vivid colors of these beautiful birds.
She credits this tattoo to an artist known only as Allison.
Thanks to Jessica for sharing this wonderful tattoo with us here on Tattoosday!

Lindsay Lohan wants to looks good when she is out of jail
Lindsay Lohan wants to make sure she has several top stylists and
makeup people when she is out of jail. She wants to look good.
Phillip Bloch, celebrity stylist and author of 'The Shopping Die
said, "I am sure Lindsay will be sick of orange and jumpsuits and I definitely think ankle bracelets are out. Knowing Lindsay, I expect her to emerge in some skin tight jeans and some uber-trendy layered top. If I had the opportunity to dress her [Philip dressed Halle Berry when she accepted her Oscar] when she exits jail, I would put her in a soft and flowy sundress a la Natalie Wood. It wouldn't be bad to soften up her image at this point."

Michelle's Tattoo Takes Your Breath Away
Michelle has a lot of ink, twenty-one tattoos, all told, but when I stopped her in Penn Station, she chose to share this one with us:
Boldly planted on her upper right arm, Michelle explained that she paraphrased and pared down a longer quotation to read, more simply, "Live for the moments that take your breath away". I believe she was referring to the saying, "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
The flowers in the photo are cherry blossoms that were done in blue, rather than the traditional pink because, as Michelle tells it, she's "not really a pink kind of girl".
This tattoo was inked by Fat Tony at Hobo's Tattoo Shop in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Kathy Hilton sympathy to Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina
Kathy Hilton understand what Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina's is going through currently. This is because she herself had this situation before with her
daughter, Paris. Paris was jail for 23 days in 2007 when she was driving
recklessly.
In a new interview, Kathy Hilton exclusively told RadarOnline.com: “I have sympathy for Dina Lohan right now, in fact, I feel bad for any parent whose child is in jail, it can be really tough.
"Those days when Paris was in jail were some of the most difficult of my life - it is hard for any parent to deal with.
“Unfortunately, if you do not follow the rules then this is what can happen - it’s part of the rules of our society.
PHOTOS: Celebrity Mug Shots
“I think Lindsay will learn from this experience though. To be in a small cage like that by yourself certainly gives you time to think about things.
“And for the parent on the outside it is very hard too.”

Digital Meltd0wn Now On Facebook
I finally decided to break down and create a Facebook page for Digital Meltd0wn @ http://www.facebook.com/DigitalMeltd0wn. I created a personal account a few years ago, and I just didn't feel as if Facebook had been developed enough at that point to warrant further use. I decided to give it another chance after hearing many people rave about its usefulness. After exploring it for several hours yesterday, I realized that they have made vast improvements to the service. I created an account for Digital Meltd0wn, as well as a personal account, a few days ago.
Since last.fm has been a continuous disappointment lately, and there seems to be a mass exodus from Myspace, I plan to focus the majority of my social networking activity on Facebook, and here are a few ideas you can expect to see implemented soon. Updates from the Digital Meltd0wn Music Aggregator/Blogroll, along with my own Digital Meltd0wn music blog, will be posted there. I also plan to publish a mirror of the Digital Meltd0wn Blogroll in it's own tab, display the most recent posts from our music blog aggregator RSS feed in a separate tab, and upload some interesting music videos and pictures. I hope you all enjoy these features, and please recommend me any ideas you may have to make the page better.
My primary reason for creating a facebook account is to have the chance to interact with those of you who visit my blogs. I would also like to be able to meet independent artists and labels, and promote your work as well. I created a discussion board thread to give independent artists and labels the chance to promote their music here. I would also like to meet other music bloggers, and if you're interested in promoting your blog, I have also created a discussion thread for music bloggers to share their blogs here.
I want to thank those of you who have already added me as a friend on Facebook. I received over 100 friend requests within a week, which is much more than I expected. I look forward to meeting more of you there, and hopefully participating in discussions with you in the discussion group.

I don't think Lindsay would like this. Her father has gave a list of doctors he claims "over-prescribed" drugs to her and pass to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department for them to investigate.

Timmy's Sophisticated Owl
Earlier this month, Melanie and I took advantage of having my sister's car while she was out of the country and we made an unusual shopping trip to the Fairway Market in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn.
There was a gentleman in the produce section with a lot of tattoos, and Melanie pointed out one to me that she thought was cool, this owl on his calf:
Turns out that the guy was Timmy from Timmy Tattoo, an artist whose name rang a distant bell. Work by Timmy appeared in one of Tattoosday's earliest posts, when I met Jackie,an FIT student whose tattoos appeared here.
Timmy's owl was inked by Garrett Ostrowski of Garrett's Tattoos.
Thanks to Timmy for sharing one of his many tattoos with us here on Tattoosday!

Patrick Dempsey reaparece
